OBJECTIVE
Design a visual brand for UCOP Chancellor Chat series' marketing materials
BACKGROUND
University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) hosts UC Chancellors at monthly events to discuss their impact on the nation’s largest higher education system with UC employees. The Institutional Communications department at UCOP tasked me with leading the creation of a visual identity to market these events.
APPROACH
This project posed the challenge of adapting elements of the UC Brand to create a unique visual identity for this monthly event. I used diagonal rays and UC’s color palette to give it the distinct UC look, and also added images of each chancellor to draw attention to the main attraction of these new events. After settling on a visual identity, I adapted the design to print and web assets to maximize the amount of potential touch points with UC employees. Turnout was a success, with only standing-room access at most of the events.
